Oily Skin Products and Different Problems

Who Suffers from Oily Skin

Oily skin is a common and troublesome condition.  For many people it is a chronic condition that cause pimples, black heads and can even lead to acne.  An overactive sebum gland is to blame.  Oil on the skin is produced by the sebum gland.  The sebum gland can make too much oil for various reasons such as hormones, heredity, cosmetics product, and diet.

This condition can affect anyone, including men, women and teenagers.  The last group, teenagers does have the highest percentage of people affected.  This is most likely because of the extreme hormonal changes that their bodies are going through during the teen years.  This excess of oil in teenagers often leads to clogged pores, pimples and blackheads.  It is also the main cause of acne in teenagers.  Excess oil causes bacteria to accumulate on the face which irritates the skin and causes inflammation.

Many adults have oily skin that is mainly around the nose, chin and forehead and some people just have an oily face or even an oily scalp.  This area is known as the t-zone.  This is also known as combination skin.  Excess skin oil in these areas lead to the same types of problems as when it occurs on the whole face.

Hormones can also cause adults to get acne, especially women.  Pregnant women often report oily skin.  Others get oily skin around their menstrual cycle or when taking birth control pills.  Physical or emotional stress in both men and women can lead to oily skin and breakouts.  Heredity is also a common factor.  Some people first get oily skin when they are young and it continues to be a problem throughout their lifetime.

People with oily skin should use oil free products and we strongly recommend the amino acid form of zinc. This amazing zinc will prevent the sebum gland from over producing and resulting in oily skin, oily face, t zone problems, oily forehead and even oily scalp.  They should stay away from chemicals that make skin too dry and opt instead for natural products that gently remove the excess sebum and clean pores.

Collagen Producing Creams and Serums

Benefits of Collagen Producing Creams

Collagen is one of the most important components in the skin.  It forms deep in the skin and is the primary protein the creates skin structure.  Your skins appearance depends largely on the amount of collagen and the condition of collagen in the skin.

Collagen does break down over time.  It can be damaged by many things, like sun exposure, environment, poor nutrition, smoking, and hormonally changes.  The amount of collagen produced in the skin decreases as a person gets older.  With less collagen skin will not be as full.  It will also begin to droop, sag and wrinkle.  The collagen in the skin gives skin its full youthful healthy appearance.

It is not possible to simple replace collagen in the skin with a cream containing collagen because the collagen is too large to penetrate deep into the layers of skin where it is needed.  Collagen injections can be performed with some success.  Injected collagen will give the skin a temporary boost however it does not last very long.  Injects can also have bad side effects.

In order to really gain the benefits of collagen you must find a way to increase natural production again.  There are creams and serums available that are made to actually make the skin produce collagen.  There are several ingredients that have been shown to help promote collagen production.  Some of these ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl, Vitamin C.  Regular use of a cream with these ingredients can make skin look and act younger again with less wrinkling and drooping.
